Biography

Muhammad bin Abu Khalil, born 11 April 2005 in Kuala Pilah, began his football journey at the Mokhtar Dahari Academy (AMD) and even underwent trial training with clubs in France and Luxembourg in 2022. His early experiences shaped him into a promising midfielder ready to take on professional challenges. He started his career with Selangor FC’s reserve side in the MFL Cup, where he stood out as a key player. In 2023, he made his Malaysian Super League debut with Selangor’s main squad, marking his step up to senior-level football. Seeking international exposure, Khalil was loaned to Japan’s FC Osaka in July 2024 and later to Thailand’s Nakhon Pathom FC in January 2025. He also earned call-ups to Malaysia’s U23 national team, featuring in the AFC U-23 Asian Cup against Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
