MATCH REVIEW: Selangor Drew At National Stadium Against Perak


BUKIT JALIL: The second CIMB Liga Super 2020 sees Selangor managed to get a 1-1 draw against Perak FA in Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil, last night.


For this match, the first eleven line-ups were almost identical to last week's winning squad against Pahang, but with one change after the Spaniard striker, Rufino Segovia replaced A. Namathevan who is currently injured.


The match started with the visiting team played a more aggressive approach, attacking the Red Giants' fort.


The Selangor team did few counter-attacks but failed to capitalize on the chances they had.

The Bos Gaurus scored the opening goal with a fine strike from the national striker, Shahrel Fikri in the 9th minute.


The home side then later equalized in the 31st minute with a flying header from their Nigerian striker, Ifedayo Olusegun. 

Entering the second part of the game, the Perak squad once again aggressively attacking the Selangor defense but the agility of Khairul Azhan and the leadership of the team captain, Taylor Regan manage to keep the attack at bay.


The head coach, B.Satiananthan made a few changes towards the end of the game to find the winning goal, but the scoreline remained till the end of the game.


The results see Selangor collected 4 points from two games and maintained their unbeaten run.


For the next game, Selangor is schduled to meet Terengganu next week at Stadium Sultan Mzan Zainal Abidin, Kuala Terengganu.
