| The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) is committed to being a leading corporate organization in enhancing agricultural modernization.
Since its establishment in 1972, PKPS has steadily and progressively developed commercial activities, starting from oil palm cultivation to various economic activities such as livestock farming, marketing of high quality food products under the Ehsan brand, and the development of Selangor Fruit Valley as an agro-tourism attraction in Selangor.
PKPS serves as a pillar in driving high-impact food security initiatives in Selangor through cooperation with state and federal agencies. This effort aims to ensure the food security of the 7 million people in Selangor and reduce dependence on food imports.
Strategic locations are utilized as agricultural areas, and optimal land use is actively implemented to increase agro-food production.
To alleviate the burden on the affected population due to the rising cost of living, PKPS has implemented a ‘game changing’ corporate social responsibility program called "Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat," which offers food items at prices 30 percent lower than the market price via targeted subsidy direct to the under-privileged.
The Selangor Fruit Valley (SFV) project, covering an area of more than 1000 hectares, is an initiative aimed at commercializing local agro food production, livestock farming, and enhancing the country's agro-tourism sector.
Furthermore, the largest compost fertilizer production in Selangor is also developed by PKPS to cater for the domestic market.
