Sean Speaks Highly Of Coach Karsten

The appointment of Karsten Neitzel as the new gaffer of the Selangor team earlier this week has received positive reactions from the Red Giants camp.

The German who replaced B. Sathiananthan who left the position last September is expected to restore the glory of Selangor by applying new football DNA and utilizing a more systematic football development program.

Karsten, who has arrived in Selangor since last October, had the opportunity to meet the Selangor players in the last few training sessions of the team before the TM Malaysia Cup tournament was canceled.

Speaking to FA Selangor media, Sean Selvaraj, the striker of the Selangor main squad shared his excitement and looked up to the experience of the Karsten.

"The first time we met, he was really friendly and very truthful with his words. He is a very decorated coach with a lot of experience in Europe and Asia. We hope to learn from him and improve in every aspect, "said Sean.

Sean also hopes that the approach that will be taken by the head coach from Germany will improve the quality of the Selangor gameplay, paving the road to return to its former glory.

"I hope I can give what Karsten Neitzel needs for the team, especially in the offensive play as well as in defending as well," he added.

Sean, who has been with Selangor since the 2018 season, has made 53 appearances in the Red Giant jersey so far.

He was also selected as the Man of The Match in one of the CIMB Super League matches this season after scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists in the 7-0 victory against PDRM FA.

Hopefully, Sean and his fellow teammates will give their full commitment to Coach Karsten to prepare for the new season of the Malaysian football league which is scheduled to return in February next year.
