Former Pahang speedster, Dinesh a / l Rajasingam is now the latest addition to the Red Giants line up, filling the left-back position for Selangor next season.

The Setapak born lad has been playing football actively since his teenage years as a graduate of Bukit Jalil Sports School during his study there from 2012 till 2015.

Having good speed and ball control, Dinesh has been the key player in the 2013 National U16 squad under S. Balachandran and lifted the winning trophy for Malaysia in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) tournament in Myanmar.

For the record, Dinesh was one of the players who scored one of the winning penalties during the final match against the Indonesian with a 3-2 result.

The left-back started his professional career in football with Pahang since 2016 and made 16 appearances after four seasons with the East Coast giants.

Selangor Technical Director, Michael Feichtenbeiner believes that Dinesh is the right player to complete the team's preparations for the upcoming season.

"Dinesh is still young but already has vast experience playing in the Super League. I’m confident that he can help Selangor by playing as a left-back or left-wing back with the skills he possesses,” said Michael.

"We are grateful to have another suitable candidate to play in the left flank (besides Zikri Khalili) to fill in the departure of K. Prabakaran who was released at the end of last season. Dinesh is the right replacement,” he added.

Speaking to Media Selangor FC, Dinesh could not hide his excitement to play in the Selangor jersey.

“I am very excited and can't wait to play for Selangor next season.”

"I will try my best and learn as much as possible from the new coaches and teammates," said the 22 years old lad.

Selangor FC welcomes R. Dinesh and hopes he can strengthen the Red Giants' defensive line for the Malaysian League next season.

Dinesh is the third new player introduced into the line up of the main team after Selangor FC officially introduced Shahrel Fikri and Tim Heubach as our new blood in the past two weeks.
