Red Giants To Launch 2021 Home Kit Digitally In February

Selangor FC (SFC) will introduce the home jersey season 2021 on February 1 digitally on all the club's official social media platforms.

Unlike previous years, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced SFC not to host the Hari Bola Sepak Selangor (Selangor Football Day) which takes place every year. Previously, Hari Bola Sepak Selangor was a day where team jerseys will be introduced to the public, in addition to the player introduction ceremony and town hall session with the supporters.

The launch of the Red Giants home jersey this year is quite different as it was held during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period but the club is confident that its uniqueness will attract supporters to own it.

Malaysia's football industry has been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially after full privatization has taken place for the season. SFC does not want football fans to feel that the club has forgotten them because indeed, football never stops at this club.

Even though it is only a digital launch, SFC will do everything in our capacity to ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the jersey's public introduction.

Hopefully, the launch of the 2021 home jersey will get support from SFC fans, especially when the income of football clubs in Malaysia is severely affected by the ban on supporters going to the stadium, reducing the number of matches, and cancelation of the Malaysia Cup tournament last year.

Last season, the club introduced the uniqueness of the home jersey which uses maroon and orange compared to the traditional red and yellow color, in addition to the blackout jersey for the third kit which caught the attention of both domestic and foreign football enthusiasts.

Hopefully, the supporters of the Red Giants will continue to unite and support the efforts made by this club, especially when the national football industry is facing difficult times because the impact of this pandemic is truly felt. The SFC management will always strive to restore the glory days of Selangor in the Malaysian football scene.

Demi kebanggaan!
