Coach Karsten Delighted With Selangor FC's Jubilant Training Camp Spirit

The Selangor FC main team returned to centralized training after obtaining permission from the National Security Council (MKN) following the implementation of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (PKP) last January.

Karsten Neitzel, Selangor FC head coach is really happy with the high spirit shown by the players during training as well as planning several friendly matches against the team in the Klang Valley area.

"I can see the players happy to return to training and they also showed a good attitude on the field. All coaching staff wants to maintain this spirit until the end of the season," said Karsten.

"Usually, there are many training sessions during the pre-season period, but this time Selangor players will not practice twice a day as usual. Instead, they will not be on holiday for the next 14 days. This is to help them achieve a good match fitness for next month's competition," he explained.

This training session was also attended by a recent Selangor FC import player, Oliver ‘Oli’ Buff who previously did not have time to train with his teammates following the implementation of PKP 2.0 which came into effect a day after he was announced as a Red Giants player.

According to the player who hails from Switzerland, he does not feel alone and it is easy to adjust in the Selangor squad, even though it is his first time training with them.

"I am very happy to be able to train with the new team after a few months I train alone. They also welcomed and accepted my presence throughout the training session today," Oli explained while sharing his feelings after the first day of training with other Selangor players.

"The most important thing for me is to get used to the weather first because it is different than in Switzerland, besides doing what I can to adapt to new tactics before the Super League starts," he added.

Selangor FC hopes that all players can train as well as possible before the M League starts and do their best for this season. Good luck, Red Giants.
