Selangor FC (SFC) preparations continue after the Red Giants today launched the Away jersey for the 2021 season digitally on all their social media platforms.

The launch of this jersey is the second jersey for this season after the Home jersey was already launched on 1 February.

Comes with a dark blue as the base color, the new jersey also incorporated with a neon blue pattern. This jersey is designed by injecting the progressive elements and a mix of club identity based on the motifs of each district in Selangor.

In terms of color selection, the dark blue color symbolizes the unity of the people of Selangor who came together in supporting the Red Giants on and off the field, while the neon blue color is symbolic of the future that this team wants to shape.

Appearing a fresher vibe, the 3D logo of Selangor FC emblazoned on the Away 2021 jersey was also changed to dark blue and neon blue color to suit the theme and symbolic of the club's openness to evolve over time.

Apart from that, this jersey is also matched with the Selangor state map motif which emphasizes the design of 9 districts in the state which has become the backbone of the team. However, the iconic red-yellow color is still being induced on the back of this jersey collar.

For the record, the dark blue color is often the color of the alternate jersey for the Selangor team. For example, the dark blue jersey was last seen in the 2018 season, besides being used since around the 1980s.

This concept is clearly different from the retro element featured by the previously launched Home jersey and it seems to give a new lease to the Selangor team that has just gone through major management restructuring in the 2019 season.

Injection of this modern element is actually symbolic of the club’s DNA that is being developed to build a sustainable team in an effort to produce and highlight young players for Selangor.

The DNA of Selangor FC football is the most important element that forms the philosophy, mentality, culture, and direction of this club, with the aim of creating successful teams at all levels sustainably.

It is also DYTM Tengku Amir Shah ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj that the DNA framework is not only limited to the professional set up but also extended through the football pyramid down to the grassroots level via partnerships with schools, private academies, and community football clubs to ensure that this document will benefit all in Selangor.

This effort is a long-term process that is seen to give new impact and revitalize Selangor football in the next few years. In addition, this effort is also strengthened by the team's commercialization structure to pave the way for this team to stand on its own two feet in the future.

More interestingly, this jersey is also equipped with a special QR code where the owner will get access to exclusive content that is not offered to the general public. For starters, buyers of this jersey will be given access to download exclusive wallpapers in conjunction with the launch of this jersey.

In addition, like the Home 2021 jersey, this away jersey is also embedded with a ribbon written: "85 Years Creating A Legacy" on the back of the collar, in line with the DNA of the team that wants to continue to produce new talents while creating a 'winning mentality' among players and management.

The management of Selangor FC hopes that the Away jersey for the 2021 season with the theme of the unity of the people of Selangor and this modern element will inspire the team even more, as well as all Selangor FC stakeholders to keep striving on bringing some silverware back to Shah Alam.
