Selangor Wants To Give A Good Fight To the Champions

Tonight, Selangor FC will travel to the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri, Johor for the fourth match of the Super League 2021 against the defending champions, Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT).

Selangor FC head coach, Karsten Neitzel stated that his team will not look back and is confident that the Red Giants have a chance if his players play as a team.

When asked about the best squad to be listed tonight, Karsten told that he has already created a list of the best options to play against the Southern Tigers.

"Of course I already have the best squad against JDT, but the best squad for every game is different and will not be the same. It will change, depending on the team we face," Karsten explained.

"My preferred starting line-up for tonight is the best and I am confident we can provide a challenge to them (JDT). However, the players on the bench are equally important, they must always be ready throughout the match to play," he added.

"We only have 90 minutes tonight to play better than last week. The Red Giants players will fight to the best of their ability and play as a team in both attacking and defending throughout the match. I'm sure we have that opportunity," said Karsten.

“I also hope there won’t be any injuries to my players in tonight’s game,” Karsten expressed his thoughts and hope for tonight’s clash.

As for the players' availability, some of the Red Giants are still cannot be listed such as Nik Sharif Haseefy (ankle injury), K. Sarkunan (knee spasm), R. Dinesh (left hamstring), and Halim Saari (knee injury).

The Red and Yellow squad is currently ranked 5th in the 2021 Super League chart with 4 points as a result of one win, one draw, and one defeat, while the JDT team is the league leader with 9 points, as a result of 3 wins.

Hopefully, the Selangor FC can give their best and fight to bring home three full points from tonight's match while continuing the mission to return to the Asian stage.
