Four SFC players; Brendan Gan, Khairulazhan Khalid, Syahmi Safari, and Shahrel Fikri returned to the training camp to join fellow teammates yesterday after two weeks of training in Johor Bahru with the national squad.
 
Their return to the FAS Training Center was seen as timely as the Red Giants coaching staff were formulating a strategy to get SFC back on the winning track.
 
The SFC team captain, Brendan Gan who was interviewed upon his return to the team sent out positive vibes and was confident that his teammates would continue to give their best for Selangor and the supporters.
 
“When we look back on the results, we can come out with many excuses as to what’s going on, maybe we can have some luck with some of the games, that can change the course of the season.”
 
“As for me, I’m always positive, I took the positive from every game and every training session. We still have a lot that we can build on and a lot to learn and be a better team. We know there’s not a lot of time at the moment, but we’ll be working hard, as the players are giving their all and work together as a family,” said Brendan.
 
When asked about the upcoming match against UiTM FC this Saturday, Brendan gave the following remarks:
 
“Every game is a must-win, no matter UiTM FC or another team. I am always going to go into the game and push that attitude and mentality onto the players, that every game is a must-win. No one in the team goes out there wanting to have a draw or lose the game. The mentality the players have at the moment is to win every game at all costs. We will continue to give our all as always, and hopefully, we will make the fans proud.”
 
The Selangor FC management welcomes Brendan Gan, Khairulazhan Khalid, Syahmi Safari, and Shahrel Fikri back to the Red and Yellow camp and hopes that all players will continue to give their best for the Red Giants.
 
The Selangor FC team will resume their journey in the Super League 2021 for the 6th match against UiTM Lions at the UiTM Stadium, Shah Alam this Saturday. The Lions are currently sitting at the bottom of the league with 1 point, while the Red Giants are at the 7th spot after collecting 5 points from the last 5 matches.
