Red Giants Forced Out To Play In Cheras

Both Red Giants teams will play at the new venue to resume the M League competition after Selangor became one of the states under the Restricted Movement Control Order (RMCO) in Selangor since June 1.

The main SFC squad chose Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium, Cheras as the home pitch for the remaining league matches against Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), UiTM FC, and PJ City FC while the game against Melaka United FC is scheduled to be played at Hang Jebat Stadium for the second round of the 2021 Super League, as the league will resume this July 24th.

Meanwhile, the Selangor FC 2 will make the Manjung Municipal Council Stadium their home venue for the second round of the Premier League starting this July 17 against Sarawak United FC, after the first round match was postponed due to bad weather conditions.

For the record, the change of venue for this match was made in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) set by the government. Any changes that occur are also in line with the guidelines set by the MKN (National Security Council), MSN (National Sports Council), and MFL (Malaysia Football League).

Among other developments, the main squad of Selangor FC welcomed their latest goalkeeper coach, Mike Andrea Kost who has joined the other coaching staff who are currently in the bubble training camp at a hotel near the FAS Training Center.

The coach, who is from Germany, has already started training with all Selangor FC goalkeepers since yesterday to replace Carsten Nuelle who has received a better offer.

Further developments on the main team of Selangor FC will be updated and informed from time to time.
