Selangor Wants To End The Season With A Bang

Tonight, Selangor FC will play the final match for the Super League 2021 season by facing  PJ City FC at 9 pm in Kelana Jaya.

For the record, during the last clash between the two sides during the first round of this season, Selangor managed to grab a win thanks to a brace scored by the league's top scorer’s candidate this season, Ifedayo Olusegun in the 89th and 90+3 minutes.

According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Karsten Neitzel, the team will need to be pushed to their limit in order to secure three points against The Phoenix.

"The team has made thorough preparations to play against PJ City FC tonight. The dressing room atmosphere and the team spirit are also in good shape. We are ready. What’s certain is that we are aiming for another victory and want the best ending for this Super League season."

"For this final match, the secret is to play to our very own limit. We need to continue to focus and give our best to win to ensure that our journey in the Malaysia Cup 2021 seedings will be better."

Karsten also said that he would be very happy if the spectators were given permission to return to the stadium again to enliven the competition this season, especially in the match at the MBPJ Stadium.

As for the player's availability, Selangor FC is still unable to bring down Tim Heubach who is still in the process of recovery.

Meanwhile, three other Red Giants pillar players; Halim Saari, Shahrel Fikri, and team captain Brendan Gan are also still undergoing long-term rehabilitation sessions and are expected to return to the team after the end of the season.

Selangor supporters, however, can breathe a sigh of relief when Red Giants center-back, Ashmawi Yakin returns to the team after being suspended for one match from a red card he had against Perak FC.

PJ City FC is currently 8th out of the league with 21 points, while the Red Giants are 5th in the league with 36 points from nine wins, six draws, and five losses.

Tonight's match will determine the position of the Red Giants for the season and continue to compete for 4th place and facilitate the team's journey for the Malaysia Cup which will begin soon.

Hopefully, Selangor FC can collect three important points tonight. Come on you, Red Giants!

Demi kebanggaan.
