Selangor Football Club (SFC) today announced that the sponsorship of the team jersey with the international sports brand, Joma from Spain will be extended until the 2023 season.
 
David Wong, Managing Director of Ganador Marketing Sdn. Bhd. who is also the sole distributor of the Joma brand in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand said, "We are very proud to continue the trust as the strategic partner of Selangor FC which has a great history of success in the football industry in this country."
 
"We also believe in the mission and vision of His Royal Highness the Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj including the current dynamic management and see Selangor FC now is on the right track to return in being a powerhouse football team in Malaysia."
 
The total sponsorship worth RM2.1 million a year from Joma covers the sponsorship of a full jersey set for the Super League squad, Premier League squad, President's Cup squad, Youth Cup squad, men's and women's futsal squad including training sets. Joma's sponsorship also covers clothing for all FAS League referees including travel casual clothing and cash sponsorship to the club.
 
Selangor FC's chief executive officer, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon said "Selangor FC is very grateful to Joma for agreeing to continue this cooperation with Selangor and we are confident that the Red Giants supporters are also excited about this".
 
“Since 2019, the club is pleased with the commitment given by Joma and it can be seen from the warm response received by Red Giants supporters through jersey sales after it managed to reach over 100,000 units sold in the last three seasons, as well as positive feedback voiced by management and the Selangor players."
 
Selangor FC chairman, DYTM Tengku Amir Shah also expressed the same tone, "Joma has been a strategic partner and part of our journey over the past three years. Most importantly, Joma has always put the interests of Selangor supporters first. Therefore, I am very honored to continue this collaboration until 2023."
 
Joma which was founded in 1965 is now available in over 70 countries of the world also supplying jerseys to over 250 teams around the world including Swansea City, Getafe, Villarreal, Ukraine, Romania, and more.
 
Selangor FC would like to thank Joma Malaysia for this cooperation and will continue to work to develop strategic relationships with other corporate entities to take this team to a higher level.
