Mukhairi Ajmal: I Will Give My Best For Harimau Malaya


Earlier last week, four Selangor FC players; Khairulazhan Khalid, Syahmi Safari, Sharul Nazeem and Mukhairi Ajmal received national call-up to join the Harimau Malaya that will leave for Amman, Jordan to face two friendly Tier 1 international matches against Jordan and Uzbekistan.

However, two Red Giants defenders, Syahmi Safari and Sharul Nazeem did not join the call at the last minute due to injuries.

This tier 1 international friendly match was planned as the initial preparations for the AFF Cup tournament that which will take place from 5 December 2021 to 1 January.

For the record, two young Selangor FC players, Sharul Nazeem (22 years old) and Mukhairi Ajmal (20 years old) have been listed in the 24 players called up to participate in international action with the national senior team for the first time in their football careers.

Mukhairi, who has amassed a total of 958 minutes of play and has scored one goal and provided one assist for the Red Giants throughout the season, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given.

"I feel very grateful to have been called up to join the national squad for the first time," said the midfield maestro.
“With the opportunity given by the national head coach, Coach Tan Cheng Ho and the coaching staff, I will do my best with what I have.”

"Thanks to all my hard work before this, I feel that this is God's blessing on me," he added.

The national squad is scheduled to face Jordan which is ranked 93rd in the FIFA rankings on October 6 and Uzbekistan on October 9, 2021. Both matches will take place at 11pm Malaysian time.

Selangor FC wishes good luck to the national team, especially the Red Giants players in facing this tier 1 international friendly match. Ayuh Malaysiaku!
