Nidzam Jamil Returns As First Team Assistant Head Coach

Selangor FC is excited to welcome former club player, Nidzam Jamil, back to the club as First Team Assistant Head Coach for the upcoming 2022 season.

Notably, his brother, Mohamed Zaid Jamil also donned the Red Giants’ jersey from 1993 till 1994. Sadly, Zaid passed away in 1994 at the peak of his career, but Nidzam ensures that their legacy with the club continues in this new role of his.

Nidzam Jamil started his coaching career admirably during his tenure with SPA FC from 2010 till 2014, being one of the youngest coaches that has won the senior national level championship title in Malaysia in the 2012 Malaysia FAM League, at the age of 32.

After his time at SPA FC, Nidzam also coached AirAsia FC in the FAM League, followed by guiding the Malaysia University Football team in the 29th World University Games Summer Universiade at Taipei 2017. In 2017, he was appointed as assistant head coach of Felda United FC, before being promoted to become Head Coach in November 2018.

Today, we are pleased to welcome back Nidzam, who spent the majority of his professional footballing career with Selangor, as part of the coaching staff, wherein we believe he can grow and further develop. On top of that, the club believes his previous experiences and credibility,  will stand him in good stead to become an integral member that can guide us to future successes.
