CISCO Security Joins Red Giants Family


Kuala Lumpur – Selangor FC today received a further boost before the start of the 2022 Malaysian Football League season when Cisco Security became an official partner to the club with a RM500,000.00 sponsorship for the 2022 season.

CISCO has been a leader in the Malaysian security industry for over 40 years and is one of the largest security companies in Malaysia, with 12 branches employing over 1,000 guards and is registered with Kementerian Dalam Negeri, Kementerian Kewangan and also a member of the Security Services Association of Malaysia (PPKKM).

According to its Managing Director, Rabin Nijhar.  ‘Here at CISCO, we pride ourselves on our high standards, with a strong focus on compliance to all relevant laws and regulations, and observation of the Responsible Business Alliance’s code of conduct regarding ethical employment and employee management. We are obviously very proud to associate ourselves with Selangor FC, a football team that prides itself with history of success and countless household names of local footballing legends that have donned the red and yellow jersey of the Red Giants. This is not CISCO’s first foray in supporting sports in the country having also sponsored another local football club and also just recently becoming the Title Sponsor to CISCO Racing, a racing team led by 16 time national champion Karamjit Singh “The Flying Sikh”.

Selangor FC’s CEO, Dr.Johan Kamal Hamidon echoed CISCO’s corporate ethos and said ‘We are extremely delighted to welcome CISCO Security to our big Red Giants family and thankful for CISCO’s support to Selangor FC. We hope that the partnership will allow CISCO to continue growing as a company by leveraging on our existing network of other companies in the Red Giants family’

The partnership will see CISCO’s brand appear on the 2022 Selangor FC jerseys and other digital and stadium branding.

Apart from the provision of physical security services, Cisco (M) Sdn Bhd holds a license for Private Investigations under the Private Agencies Act 1971, Section 2(a) and Section 2(b).

The company also operates in two other sectors, Cisco Security Academy, which specializes in private investigation, consultancy, case management and training and Cisco Biosecurity, the latest addition to the Cisco Group of Companies. Cisco Biosecurity focuses on Business Continuity Planning, sanitisation and janitorial services, and PPE trading during the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
