Nine young Selangor FC players have responded to the call of Harimau Malaya in the ongoing Vietnam SEA Games 2021 tournament where two of the nine players, Danial Asri and Syahir Bashah are two new faces who have attracted the interest of Malaysian under-23 operator, Brad Maloney to join his team for the first time in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Both of them have earned high trust from Brad when they were listed twice to play in the starting line-up recently against Thailand and Laos for the Group B opener.

For information, Danial scored his 'debut' goal in the match against Thailand in the 61st minute and Syahir opened his goal account in the 42nd minute against Laos yesterday. Both goals were scored by Selangor FC's young player, Mukhairi Ajmal who is also the captain of the country's under-23 team.

According to Danial, he was grateful for the opportunity "I feel very proud and grateful to have been chosen to represent Malaysia which is the dream and ambition of all footballers.
