First Team Updates

Selangor FC’s first team has resumed their training sessions together at the FAS Training Center while our Super League and FA Cup matches have been postponed to allow the young players to compete in the recent SEA Games, Vietnam 2021.

According to the head coach of Selangor FC, there will be several closed friendly matches that will take place during this break.

The purpose is to help the existing players regain and maintain their fitness before the competitive matches start again in June.

Some welcoming news from our training camp, team captain Brendan Gan has started playing in one of the friendly matches organized. He was given the opportunity to play for only 45 minutes to get back some much needed match fitness.

Apart from that, Halim Saari who has recovered from the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) also returned to play with the Selangor FC first team in the last friendly match after proving his fitness while playing with the feeder team, Selangor FC 2 in the Malaysia Premier League.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Rajasingam is still in the recovery phase from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury he sustained last season. He is seen working hard to get back into action with his teammates.

Selangor FC hopes that the team can use the time available well to bounce back with encouraging results in June. Come on Red Giants!
