Selangor FC had to settle with sharing a point after going up against Sabah FC for the Super League 2022 last Tuesday at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya.

Some important things can be taken from this match even though the match ended with a 1-1 result:-

1. A debut in the Super League for Selangor FC's second goalkeeper

Samuel Somerville has made his first appearance in the 2022 Super League with Selangor FC. He has played well against Sabah FC that is filled with experienced players in the Malaysian football scene.

In addition, this is also his second appearance in the Red Yellow camp after playing against Harini FT in the Malaysia FA Cup earlier this year.

2. Caion continues to score at the MBPJ Stadium

So far, Selangor FC striker, Herlison Caion has managed to score goals consecutively in every Home match thus far. This is his seventh goal during his latest outing at the MBPJ Stadium which makes his total tally for the season to ten in the Super League.

3. The offensive line worked hard with multiple attempts at goal

A lot of attempts on goal were made in this match especially in the first half. The midfield and attackers worked hard to make attempts but were unlucky as they could not end up with more goals.
