Official Announcement: Selangor FC Head Coach Status

Selangor FC would like to announce that the management and Michael Feichtenbeiner have mutually agreed to let go of his position as the First Team Head Coach of Selangor FC and continue the football development project as Selangor FC’s Sporting Director which he has held since 2020.

As Sporting Director, Michael Feichtenbeiner has overseen the development of many young Selangor players who have been promoted to the Selangor FC’s First Team and the Malaysian National Team. To date, 19 young players from the Selangor FC’s Feeder Team have been promoted into the First Team such as Mukhairi Ajmal, Sharul Nazeem, Hein Htet Aung, Alex Agyarkwa, Quentin Cheng and many others. Furthermore, a total of 10 young players from Selangor have been selected to represent the National U23 Team and another 13 young players have represented the National U19 Team in various ASEAN and Asian level tournaments for this year. Selangor FC is also one of the youngest teams (based on age average) in the 2022 Malaysian League competition and the Club believes that this development project must continue for the future of the Club.

The search for a new First Team Head Coach is currently ongoing and the Club will make further announcements after all deliberations have been made. In the meantime, the First Team Head Coach responsibilities will be taken up by the Assistant Head Coach, Nidzam Jamil as Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the 2022 Malaysian League season.

Demi Kebanggaan.
