Selangor Are In the Final of the Piala Raja-Raja Emas Final 100th Edition

The 100th edition of the Piala Raja-Raja Emas (PERR) tournament has been ongoing since the 1st of October 2022.

The Selangor team for the PERR is managed by Shaiful Nizam, Head Coach of Selangor U2, while the squad consists of players from Selangor 2, Selangor U21 and Selangor U19 teams adhering to the format of the competition which imposes an age limit of 25 years old and below in addition to being allowed with a maximum of five overage players.

In this tournament, 16 teams are divided into four zones involving the North Zone (Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak), the Middle Zone (Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, PDRM, ‘Guest 1’), the South Zone (Nine States, Melaka ATM and Johor) and Eastern Zone (Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and ‘Guest 2’).

Selangor managed to qualify for the Final of the PERR after beating Kelantan in a penalty shoot-out with a result of 4-2 at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium last October 29.
