Noor Al-Rawabdeh Officially Joins Selangor FC

Jordanian national team midfielder Noor Al-Rawabdeh was today officially announced as the Red Giants' first new import to face the Malaysian League for the 2023 season.

Originally from Amman, Jordan, this player made his first appearance with Jordan national team on 7 August 2019 when he was 22 years old and managed to make a total of 27 appearances to date.

Other than playing abroad under his national team, the player who is affectionately known as Noor, has also played in the AFC Cup for three seasons with Al Jazeera from 2017. He then became one of the key players of the Al-Muharraq SC that won the 2021 AFC Cup after winning against FC Nasaf 3-0 in Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium.

According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Tan Cheng Hoe, the addition of Noor, nicknamed 'The Engineer', will further strengthen the team's midfield with his qualities.

"We know that in a team, the midfield department is very important to move the team, so I'm sure he has the quality to perform well with the team. I hope he will form a strong midfield partnership with the other teammates.

We also know that Noor and Yazan are also teammates in Jordanian team. I am confident that with the combination of these two players, they are able to make a good link up from the defensive line to the midfield area," said Tan Cheng Hoe.

The 182cm tall midfielder also hopes to make the club and the supporters proud of the team.

"I heard good things about Selangor FC, that is the reason I chose to be here. I'm also excited to meet the Red Giants supporters soon. I hope to make them proud of the team this season," enthused the 26-year-old player.

Selangor FC welcomes Noor Al-Rawabdeh. Hopefully he will inject more mobility and strength to the Red Giants' midfield line for the 2023 Malaysian League season which will start soon.

Noor is the fourth latest player to be introduced to the first team after Selangor FC introduced Ruventhiran, Khuzaimi Piee and Faisal Halim previously.
