Selangor MAC, The Red Giants futsal team will kick off the Malaysia Premier Futsal League (MPFL) 2023 on February 18 at the Shah Alam Panasonic National Sports Complex.

This year, 14 teams competed in the MPFL competition, which was divided into two groups based on zone. In Group B, Selangor MAC will compete against Johor Darul Ta'zim, KL City FC, Kuala Lumpur, PFA Odin Sarawak, Selangor TOT United, and Shah Alam City.

The competition is played in a two-round league format (home and away) at the team's chosen venue, with each team playing 12 games.

The top four teams from Groups A and B will then advance to the knockout round, which will consist of the Quarter-Finals in one round (the venue of the match will be drawn) and the Semi-Finals and Finals at the team's choice.

Selangor MAC will be led this season by a Brazilian coach, Edgar Eder Baldasso. Two assistant coaches, Ahmad Khairi and Shao Yao Eoh, will assist him. Firdaus Razali, the goalkeeper coach, and Luqman Mat, the fitness coach.

The MPFL officially announced in November 2022 that two imported players are allowed in the team to increase the competitive level of the competition this season. Selangor MAC has signed three imported players to compete, but only two will play due to the decision of the Head Coach.
