Feb 20, 2023 - FASKDDI Malaysia Announced as Selangor FC's New Official Partner for the 2023 Season
Selangor Football Club, Selangor FC today announced KDDI Malaysia Sdn Bhd as the newest official partner of the Red Giants to compete in the Malaysian League season 2023 after both sides signed a partnership agreement earlier today.
The signing ceremony took place at the SFC Training Centre, Shah Alam and was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Selangor FC, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon and Managing Director of KDDI Malaysia, Masaki Matsuura.
KDDI Malaysia is a subsidiary of KDDI Corporation in Tokyo, a one-stop provider that offers a variety of communication and IT services. KDDI Malaysia also provides comprehensive global and local ICT solutions and provides support services for business development in Malaysia.
According to the Managing Director of KDDI Malaysia, Masaki Matsuura said, "We are very honored to be part of the Red Giants family. Selangor FC is a team rich in tradition and we hope that our support will push the team to greater heights in the upcoming Malaysian football season soon. Besides that, we would also like to help and contribute Digital Transformation in football industry,” he said.
Chief Executive Officer of Selangor FC, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon was also moved by this collaboration and felt that this partnership would have a strong impact on both entities.

This proves that the local football industry and our beloved team in particular are still being looked up to and trusted by leading companies like KDDI to invest and share expertise with each other, " he added.
This partnership will see KDDI Malaysia's branding displayed at the stadium on match days as well as Selangor FC's digital assets for the season.

Meanwhile, the Selangor FC squad is in the final phase of preparing the team for the 2023 Malaysian Super League campaign which will start on February 26 against Kelantan United FC.
