The 2023 Malaysian football scene resumes after the international break to make way for the recent SEA Games competition which is included in the FIFA calendar. The Selangor FC squad will travel to Ipoh to continue their 2023 Super League campaign against Perak FC tomorrow (May 20th) at the Perak Stadium at 8:15pm.
This will be the 160th meeting between #PRKSEL. The Red Giants have won 88 matches and drawn 23 while scoring 299 goals from the meeting between these two teams. The last time we played against Perak was in the 2021 Malaysia Cup with a 2-1 win at the Perak Stadium.
Selangor FC winger, Norhakim Hassan, feels that there are no easy matches in football but bringing home three points is the team's target.
"Alhamdulillah, the squad has trained well and all the players are raring to go for tomorrow's match. For me, there is no easy match and no team should be underestimated because in football anything can happen.
"I will give one hundred percent on the field if I have the chance to play tomorrow. Every player hopes that they will be able to score goals, and so do I. But if I can help the team to score goals, I will be more than happy to do it. However, an away win for Selangor is the team’s main target," explained Norhakim Hassan.
As for the availability of the players, according to the Head Coach of Selangor FC, there have been no injuries in the Red Giants squad so far.
The management of Selangor FC is confident that the team will give everything to regain our momentum to face the 2023 Malaysian League. Come on, Merah KuningKu!
