Last week marked the completion of the Group stage of the 2023 President's Cup. The Selangor under-20 team won Zone C after defeating KL City FC U20 1-0 on May 24. This puts the Selangor FC B20 squad, along with seven other clubs, eligible for League 1 and a chance to become the 2023 President's Cup Champions.

This season, the Football Association of Malaysia has made some changes, each Champion and Runner-up of Zone A, Zone B, Zone C and Zone D will advance to the next stage in League 1 Group and the top five teams will go to the Quarter Final stage. Meanwhile, the other teams will play in League Group 2 to get the top three positions to have a chance to play in the Quarter Finals.

The Red Giants U20 squad has played four matches before the President's Cup Group Round concludes. Here are the results of the match:-

So far for the Group stage, Selangor's under-20 squad has scored seven goals in six matches, Harry Danish maintained his record as the team's top scorer with four goals from six matches and was named Player of the Match for three matches. In addition, Khairil Zain also closed the gap with two goals followed by Amir Farhan, one goal.

In addition, the defensive line and also the goalkeeper of the Selangor B20 squad have recorded four 'clean sheets' from six matches. Overall, Firdaus Tan, Head Coach of Selangor B20 always applies the best strategy for his players to produce a good record for the Zone Group round.
