The Group stage of the 2023 Youth Cup concluded last week. With 16 points, the Selangor under-18 team were declared Zone C champions. This makes the Selangor FC U18 squad, along with five other teams, eligible for League 1 and the 2023 Youth Cup Champion crown.

The Football Association of Malaysia has made several adjustments this season, with each champion and runner-up from Zone A, Zone B, Zone C, and Zone D advancing to the next level in League 1 Group, with the top five teams advancing to the Quarter Final stage. Meanwhile, the remaining clubs will compete in League Group 2 for the top three spots in order to compete in the Quarter Finals.

The Red Giants U18 squad has played in four games before the Youth Cup Group stage ends. Here are the results of the match:-

Selangor U18 has scored 15 goals in six games in Zone C so far in the Group stage. With five goals, Izzat Syahir leads the team in scoring and is the only player to have a hat trick. Selangor B18 players Amirul Izwan, Syahmie Rosli, Akid Zamri, Alif Aiman, Amirul Alif, Amir Ammar, Ariz Zuhayr, Rohisham Haiqal, and Syahir Sukri have all scored.

Furthermore, under Mohd Khushairi's leadership, the side has kept a 'Clean Sheet' in four of six games, proving that the defenders and goalkeepers have also performed wonderfully. Don't forget about the midfielders who have assisted the strikers and defence line in their duties.
