Selangor FC’s journey in the FA Cup ends in the Semi Finals yesterday after being beaten by Johor DT FC 4-0 at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

The match stats saw 47% possession, 12 attempts, 7 on target and 8 corners. Khairulazhan made 3 saves out of 7 attempts by the opposing team.

According to Tan Cheng Hoe, Head Coach of Selangor FC felt the team performed relatively well despite the scoreline but accepted yesterday's defeat.

"As I told you, Johor DT is a strong team, especially in terms of transition from defense to attack. Mistakes in defense meant we conceded the first goal too early. It affected the morale of the team a little and made it difficult for us to perform with the two early substitutions. We need to have a strong character to compete with them.

“Overall, I think the team has done well but our mistakes prove to be the deciding factor in our loss. We have to learn from these mistakes and focus on the Super League campaign. We have to work hard to be able to compete with them in our next league match," explained Tan Cheng Hoe.

The management hopes that the team will come back stronger from this defeat to continue their challenge in the Super League and Malaysia Cup which will start this August.
