Tan Cheng Hoe, Head Coach of Selangor FC, expressed his relief and stated that the team will continue to progress from time to time.

"One thing that was important yesterday was that we took advantage of the opportunities that we created. This win is the best form of encouragement for the team after a week of a relatively high pressure conditions. At the same time, we still need to work on improving our playing patterns for the upcoming matches.

"The coaching staff is also confident that if the players show an attitude of wanting to improve themselves and be better from match to match, it will help the team to continue maintaining a good level of consistency," Tan Cheng Hoe emphasised.

From yesterday's #SELPEN match, some important things to takeaway, such as:-

Samuel Somerville Man of The Match (MOTM)

Excellent all round display and a cleansheet yesterday made him the team's Man of The Match.

Head Coach, Tan Cheng Hoe praised his performance, "Praise must go to Samuel in the first half for saving two goals from conceding which was crucial."

Safuwan Baharudin completes the Selangor FC's defensive line

A familiar name in the Red Giants camp, Safuwan, performed brilliantly in his first game back after officially becoming the last import of the Red Yellow for the season.

Tan Cheng Hoe is confident that Safuwan will help with his strength and experience, "Safuwan displayed a very convincing perfromance even though this was his first action with the team. His advantage in terms of calmness and experience has helped the defence to perform brilliantly tonight."

Newlywed, back in action with the team

Selangor FC's left back, Fazly Mazlan recently got married on the 7th of July with his chosen partner. Fazly did not want to take long to return to playing with the team, which proves his dedication towards his career and the club. Fazly was included in the second half of yesterday's #SELPEN match after missing out on the last match. He always promises to do his best as a player for Selangor FC and as a husband to his new wife.

The management would like to praise all the players and officials who have worked hard to get Selangor FC's back to winning again. Keep giving your best for the team in the upcoming matches.

Not forgetting the Selangor FC supporters who came yesterday to support the team. Thank you from us.
