Sep 17, 2023 - FASYesterday's first round 2023 Malaysia Cup Quarter-Final match between Selangor FC and Terengganu FC concluded with the scoreline 0-2 in favour of the home team at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Gong Badak.
Throughout the 90 minutes of yesterday's match, the Selangor FC players performed better in the second half compared to the first. After the Head Coach of Selangor FC made a few substitutions, the inclusion of Noor Al-Rawabdeh and Yohandry Orozco was seen to have had an immense impact, helping the team perform better despite the result ending in defeat.
Accepting the loss, Selangor FC's Head Coach is disappointed but will prepare the team to compete in the second round later.
"We could see in the first half that we lacked control of the game, which affected the team's confidence a little. However, after three substitutions in the second half, we were able to get a better rhythm of the game, but we felt dissatisfied since we were unable to score any goals,”
“Next week, we must work even harder to prepare for our match against Terengganu FC at the MBPJ Stadium. We hope that tonight's game will serve as an important lesson for the team as we prepare for the second round. We must be prepared to deal with any circumstances that come our way,” said Tan Cheng Hoe
The management believes that the squad will rise to success in the second round of the 2023 Malaysia Cup Quarter-Final match, ensuring that Selangor FC advances to the next round of the competition.
We'd also like to express our gratitude to the Selangor FC fans who stood behind the team during yesterday's encounter. We appreciate all the support.
