Match Review LS24 | Selangor FC 4-0 Perak FC | Important 3 Points Before Kedah Trip


Selangor FC defeated Perak FC 4-0 in the 24th Super League match yesterday at the MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya.

Yohandry Orozco's corner kick set up Sharul Nazeem for the opening goal in the second minute of the #SELPRK match. Then, in the 32nd minute of the first half, Mukhairi Ajmal scored the second goal. Yohandry Orozco scored in the 72nd minute after getting a good assist from Alexander Agyarkwa. Ayron Del Valle scored the game's final goal in the 80th minute, keeping him as the Super League's leading goalscorer so far. At the same time, the Red Giants finished the match with another clean sheet.

Tan Cheng Hoe, Head Coach of the Red Giants, is pleased with the effort shown by the Selangor FC players in the #SELPRK action despite the fact that the team were without any competitive matches for almost two months.

"Overall, I am satisfied with this match because for me it is not easy to play against Perak FC with the team not going through any competitive match for two months, it can affect the team's momentum to some extent. However, I really appreciate the motivation and desire to win shown by the players. The coaching staff is also happy that the players were fully commited and displayed an outstanding team performance tonight. Now we need to focus on getting the best results in the remaining two matches," hoped Tan Cheng Hoe.

Yohandry Orozco remains Selangor FC's Man of The Match
Orozco was named the Man of The Match for two consecutive matches (LS23 & LS24). He scored a goal and got an assist in the #SELPRK match yesterday. For the record, Orozco has scored 11 goals with Selangor FC throughout this season.

Two early goals in the #SELPRK was from two young Red Giants players
Sharul Nazeem and Mukhairi Ajmal got the ball rolling and set the tone early in the match with their goals in the second and 32nd minute of the first half, respectively. The goals gave the Red Giants a comfortable lead at the break and the team looked the better side when the game restarted.

The defensive line, Safuwan Baharudin, Sharul Nazeem, Fazly Mazlan, Quentin Cheng, Zikri Khalili and Izwan Yuslan as well as Samuel Somerville, the goalkeeper, performed brilliantly to ensure that the team won without conceding.
