Selangor FC Announces Official Partnership With TikTok And Launches The 'RG NEIGHBOURHOOD' Program For The Local Community

Selangor, 28 January 2024 - The Selangor Football Club (SFC) announced a strategic partnership with TikTok, the leading destination for short-form mobile video, as well as launching a program named 'RG Neighborhood' during a signing ceremony held today, in preparation for the Red Giants' 2024 season.

As SFC's official digital partner, TikTok will provide training and workshops to enable players to utilize the platform for community-building. TikTok will also collaborate with SFC to positively impact local communities by improving and refurbishing sports facilities, encouraging a healthier and more active lifestyle, and encouraging football participation among the youth. To honour this collaboration, SFC will also display the TikTok logo at the stadium and use #SukanDiTikTok on all social media channels on match days.

Through our partnership with Selangor Football Club, we look forward to empowering local communities to participate in the sport and enabling a healthier, and more active lifestyle for Malaysians,"said Yin Yin Hooi, Operations Head for Malaysia at TikTok.

Dr Johan Kamal Hamidon, Chief Executive Officer of Selangor Football Club, also expressed his excitement about this collaboration by saying, "This year will be a more challenging year for the Red Giants. As a result, we really need the support from our partners in order to meet our goal for this season."

"Aside from aiming for success on the pitch, we also want to strengthen the club's relationship with the community," he added. Hopefully, more community programmes may be implemented to increase awareness for both parties and develop a deeper engagement with Red Giants fans."
