Oct 28, 2024 - FASSelangor FC's seven unbeaten record matches in the Super League 2024/25 came to an end after succumbing to a 0-3 defeat against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) at MBPJ Stadium last night.
The match started off quite evenly, with the home team nearly taking the lead through a shot from Ali Olwan. However, missing several key players, the Red Giants struggled to defend against dangerous attacks. The league leaders scored through Romel Morales and two goals from Bergson Da Silva.
Selangor FC head coach Nidzam Jamil expressed his disappointment with the result. “I admit that a 0-3 scoreline is not good. There are many things we need to improve. We were aiming for a win, especially at home, and we want to reduce the points gap with them. Therefore, we are not happy with this outcome. However, I cannot deny the commitment of my players,” he stated.
Nevertheless, the Red Giants remain in second place in the Super League 2024/25 standings, having accumulated 26 points from 13 matches, six points ahead of third-placed Sabah FC.
Selangor FC also expressed their gratitude to the supporters who attended the match at MBPJ Stadium. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Next, the Red Giants will travel to Kedah to face Kedah Darul Aman on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, at 9:00 PM for their 15th Super League match at Darul Aman Stadium.
Demi kebanggaan!
