Nikola Jambor’s POV:

"Before the game, Ali, Alvin, and I made a deal: one of us would stay in between the lines, while the others spread wide."

"So, at that moment, my options were either to pass back or to send the ball to Ali or Alvin.”

“As I looked up, I saw Ali was free, with plenty of space to drive the ball forward, so I passed it to him and he did his magic."

Ali Olwan’s POV:

"Before receiving the ball, I switched positions with Alvin."

"Once I had the ball, I quickly assessed my options and at that point, I decided to move the ball inside the box."

"If the situation had been tighter while dribbling, I would have passed.”

“But as I cut inside, I dribbled through the players that were marking me and saw the chance to curl it to the back post.”

“Without hesitation, I took the shot.”

“And that’s how the goal happened.”

A mix of instinct, precision, and a little bit of magic.

As the final of the MFL Challenge Cup 2024/25 approaches this Saturday, Ali Olwan, Nikola Jambor and the rest of the team are putting in their best effort. Whether it’s a cup final or a league match, the preparation remains the same.

Kalamullah Al-Hafiz: ”This is going to be a new experience playing in MFL Challenge Cup Final for myself and the team as a whole. Hence, as a player, we have to do our best and it applies in all matches as well. PDRM FC have been doing well and they have great players, especially their forwards. So, to stop them, we have to perform together as a team, from the goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders and the forwards are all important to get the best result.”

Alvin Fortes: We have to keep our game and focus on it, I believe everything will be good by then. On top of that, the fans are behind us, so we just have to keep improving,  performing well and not settling down.
