Piala Belia 2025 Wrap Up


The Selangor FC Under-18 squad closed the curtain on the 2025 Piala Belia in second place, collecting 61 points from 26 matches with 20 wins, one draw and five defeats.

Proud and grateful for the players’ hard work, Khushairi Wahab, Head Coach of the Selangor FC Under-18 squad, hopes this team could reach the team’s objective, “I am very satisfied with the efforts of the youth players this year. They have given their best to reach this level. I am confident that if they are given more exposure, they will continue to shine, especially in helping us achieve our objective of preparing players for the President’s Team, Selangor II, the main squad and the national team.”

Throughout the 2025 Piala Belia, the five players who featured the most under Khushairi Wahab were the team’s prolific striker, Zarul Aidid, with 1,952 minutes, followed by Muayyad Daud with 1,765 minutes, Danial Hqzeiry 1,641 minutes, Naufal Sukiman 1,630 minutes and Farhan Mazlan 1,362 minutes.

Across the 26 matches this season, the Red Giants youth squad scored 55 goals, averaging 2.11 goals per match. Zarul Aidid once again topped the scoring chart with 19 goals, making him the second-highest scorer in the 2025 Piala Belia. The team captain, Muayyad Daud, followed impressively with 11 goals, while Farhan Sukiman netted five, Fahrin Danny scored four, and both Danial Hqzeiry and Ishraf contributed three goals each. Nabil Ikhwan and Airil Izzan scored two goals apiece, while Tze Young, Ryady Raziq, Faiz Danial, Aniq Qhushainie, Danish Ashraf and Aidiel Zacharia each added one goal.

Of those 55 goals, Zarul Aidid and Farhan Mazlan also registered six assists each, making them the team’s joint top providers. Muayyad Daud followed with four assists, while Aniq Qhushainie, Aqil Qhuzaikel, Tze Young and Fahrin Danny each recorded three. Next were Ryady Raziq, Ivan Chua, Putera Haikal, Helmi Ismail and Mikail Hamidi with two assists each, and Danial Hqzeiry, Ryan Fahreen and Faiz Danial contributed one assist apiece.

Overall, the team’s goalkeepers and defenders managed to keep eight clean sheets in 26 matches throughout the 2025 Piala Belia. In addition, the Under-18 squad recorded seven consecutive wins at the start of the season, with their biggest victory coming in a 5-1 win over Terengganu FC U-18.

Selangor FC Under-18 Head Coach, Khushairi Wahab, also expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the team’s success in finishing second in the competition, “I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to the players, the coaching staff and the Piala Belia officials who worked together to give their best to the team and the club. Not forgetting the parents, who have always given their unwavering support to their children and their teammates. With a team atmosphere like this, I am confident that we will produce more talented players ready to perform at higher levels.”
