Dec 31, 2025 - FASSelangor FC Women’s squad concluded the 2025 National Women’s League season as runners-up, collecting 34 points from 14 matches with a record of 11 wins, one draw and two defeats. This achievement represents an improvement of five points compared to the previous season.
The 2025 campaign proved to be a memorable one for Selangor FC Women, as the team showed significant progress compared to the year before. Among the highlights were an impressive nine-match unbeaten run in their final nine league fixtures, as well as the club’s biggest win of the season with a 10–0 victory over Young Tigress. The Red and Yellow Women’s side also recorded six clean sheets throughout the season.
Over the course of the 2025 National Women’s League, the five players with the most playing time under head coach Osmera Omaro were forward Ayuna Anjani (1,259 minutes), team captain Ainsyah Murad (1,242 minutes), Najwa Irdina (1,179 minutes), Amirah Rahman (1,011 minutes) and Euswewana Kadius (899 minutes).
In 14 matches this season, the Red Giants Women scored a total of 62 goals, averaging 4.42 goals per match. Ainsyah Murad once again stood out after netting 17 goals, making her the league’s second-highest scorer this season. Najwa Irdina, Jang Bojeong and Esther Sunday each scored six goals, while Kaseh Carmila added five. Nurin Manan, Ayuna Anjani, Fazira Sani and Amirah Rahman contributed four goals apiece. Mecca Rania and Aisha Lynn scored two goals each, while Nuratiqah Batrisyia and Euswewana Kadius recorded one goal respectively.
Of the 62 goals scored, Ainsyah Murad also impressed as the team’s main creator with 12 assists, followed by Kaseh Carmila with seven, Esther Sunday with six and Najwa Irdina with five. Euswewana Kadius registered three assists, while Ayuna Anjani and Farisya Hanim each contributed two. Mecca Rania, Fazira Sani, Nurin Manan, Siti Zahirah and Ku Nuwairah added one assist each, highlighting the team’s ability to create chances from multiple positions.
On the back of her outstanding performances, Ainsyah Murad was named the National Women’s League Player of the Season for the second consecutive year, underlining her strong leadership qualities and consistency at just 22 years of age.
With an average squad age of 21, Selangor FC Women have successfully combined youthful energy with experience, making the team more dynamic and competitive. Head coach Osmera Omaro said:
“Selangor FC fielded a young squad in the National Women’s League, which is a high-level platform for them. I am proud of the performances and the improvement they have shown. Selangor FC remains fully committed to player development, as this is an important step for the future. Last year we finished third and this season we are second. God willing, next year we will strive to achieve something even better.”
