Selangor FC are pleased to announce the signing of Brazilian forward Vítor Pernambuco, who joins the club to strengthen the squad for the remainder of the season.

Born on 28 April 1998 in Igarassu, Brazil, Pernambuco (full name José Vítor Rodrigues da Silva dos Santos) is a versatile attacking player who primarily operates on the wing, but is also capable of featuring across the forward line. Standing at 1.87 metres, the 27-year-old brings pace, physical strength, and a dynamic attacking style to the Selangor FC setup.

Pernambuco began his professional career in Brazil after developing through the youth system at Portuguesa. His impressive performances opened the door to European football, where he represented FC Lviv in Ukraine before enjoying loan spells with FC Dinamo Tbilisi in Georgia and FK Bodø/Glimt in Norway. These experiences provided valuable exposure to different football cultures and tactical demands. He later featured for FC Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova, before continuing his career in Kazakhstan and Hungary. More recently, Pernambuco returned to Brazil, playing for clubs such as Juventude and Operário Ferroviário in Brazil’s Serie B.

Known for his attacking instincts, willingness to take on defenders, and ability to contribute both goals and assists, Pernambuco’s arrival reflects Selangor FC’s commitment to adding energy, experience, and versatility to the team’s attacking department.

Speaking about his move, Pernambuco expressed his excitement and motivation to join Selangor FC. “I’m very happy and motivated to be here and to be part of this club. Selangor FC is one of the leading football clubs in Malaysia and I can’t wait to step onto the pitch in front of the supporters,” he said.

When asked about his personal targets with the Red Giants, the Brazilian underlined his determination to help the team. “My goal is to score goals for the club and to play as many minutes as possible to help the team achieve its objectives,” he added.

Pernambuco also shared a message for Selangor FC supporters following his arrival. “Thank you for the warm welcome. I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you at the stadium very soon,” he said.
