Selangor’s Under-20 squad will begin their President’s Cup campaign on 19 April following the completion of their pre-season preparations, which have been underway since January.

This season, 11 teams, including Selangor FC, have been listed to compete in the President’s Cup, namely Johor Darul Ta’zim III, Terengganu FC U20, Negeri Sembilan FC III, Akademi Mokhtar Dahari (AMD), Penang FC II, Kuching City FC, Sabah FC II, Kuala Lumpur FA, Kedah FA and MISC-Touchtronics FC.

The team is aiming to provide strong competition in every match in pursuit of the best possible performance for the Red Giants Under-20 squad. The President’s Cup also serves as an important platform for youth development as players prepare to progress to a higher level with the Red Giants club.

This season, the Red Giants U20 squad will continue to be led by Firdaus Tan Aziz, alongside a group of players committed to giving their best for the club. Several players are expected to stand out following impressive pre-season performances, including Nabil Fitri, who leads the attacking line with a strong work ethic and professionalism, captain Mulia Hairi, who anchors the defence with leadership and composure, and Danial Razali, who serves as the team’s engine in midfield with a blend of physicality and intelligence.

Completing the team’s core are Hafifi Muhtadee, who provides an attacking threat from the left with pace and quality delivery, and Rusyaidi Fahmi, who contributes composure, tactical discipline and good positioning. Overall, these five players form the backbone of the team, balancing defensive strength, midfield control and attacking capability, while shaping the squad’s identity and driving performance this season.
