Selangor FC are delighted to announce the signing of Venezuelan attacking midfielder Eduardo Sosa, who becomes the club's second foreign signing and fifth new addition ahead of the upcoming Malaysia League season.

The 30-year-old arrives in Shah Alam following an impressive campaign with Immigration FC in the 2025/26 Malaysia Super League season. Throughout the campaign, Sosa established himself as one of the league's standout performers, recording 11 goals and four assists across all competitions. His performances highlighted his ability to influence matches through creativity, intelligent movement and quality in the final third.

Before making his mark in Malaysia, Sosa enjoyed a well-travelled professional career, featuring in Venezuela, the United States and Colombia. Having experienced different footballing cultures and competitive environments, he has developed into a mature, creative player who is capable of adapting to various tactical systems and styles of play.

Known for his exceptional vision, technical ability and eye for creating and scoring goals, Sosa is capable of operating as an attacking midfielder, winger or second striker. His arrival is expected to provide greater creativity, attacking versatility and quality to Selangor FC's frontline.

Speaking on the club's latest signing, Head Coach Kim Pan-gon believes Sosa possesses the qualities needed to strengthen the Red Giants' attacking identity.

"We are always looking for players who can make a real difference in the attacking third, and Eduardo has all the qualities we were searching for. He is a highly creative player with excellent vision and the ability to deliver decisive final passes that create opportunities for his teammates. On top of that, he has a natural goalscoring instinct and never shies away from taking responsibility in important moments. I believe he will add a new dimension to our attacking play and help us become even more effective in the final third."

Speaking after completing his move, Sosa revealed that Selangor FC's ambition and long-term vision were the main reasons behind his decision.

As a player, you always want to be part of a team that is determined to compete and win. That was one of the biggest reasons why I chose Selangor FC."

The Venezuelan also pledged to give his all in helping the Red Giants achieve success this season.

"I already know the Malaysia League and understand the challenges that come with it. Now I want to bring that experience to Selangor FC. My goal is to settle in quickly, build strong chemistry with my teammates and entertain the supporters with positive, attacking football. I hope to contribute with goals, assists and performances that help the team achieve its objectives. I can't wait to begin this new chapter with the Red Giants."
