Nik Muhammad Sharif Haseefy or better known as Nik Sharif is officially announced as the latest addition to the Red Giants family for the upcoming Malaysian League 2021 season.

The midfield maestro has been with Pahang since 2016 but only made his Super League debut in 2019.

During his four years stint with the Tok Gajah squad, Nik Sharif has bagged three goals and provided two assists in his 10 appearances in the 2019 and 2020 season.

According to Karsten Neitzel, Selangor’s head coach, the young lad has good vision in reading the game movements and can give an edge to the whole squad.

"He (Nik Sharif) has a good technical aspect and has a great vision in reading the gameplay despite his young age. He can also be deployed as a winger and as well as help the midfield area effectively.”

“I strongly believe that Nik Sharif will play an important role in the Selangor team next season. I can't wait to see him in action for the pre-season preparation,” Karsten commented on Nik Sharif.

In the meantime, Nik Sharif is grateful for the trust given by the management of Selangor FC and has voiced out his commitment to help the Red Giants.

"I’m excited and grateful for the trust and opportunity were given to play for one of the teams that have rich history and achievements in the Malaysia League," Nik Sharif spoke during an interview with Media Selangor FC.

"Selangor FC has its own specialty including well-equipped facilities, professional management as well as a line-up full of experienced players in the main squad."

"I will strive to provide the best performance for the team in order to pay back the trust given by the Selangor FC’s management and make the Red Giants supporters proud," said Nik Sharif.

Nik Sharif is the fourth new player to be introduced into the main team after Selangor FC introduced Shahrel Fikri, Tim Heubach, and R. Dinesh in recent weeks.
