The Selangor U18 squad successfully advanced to the 2023 Youth Cup Final after defeating Terengganu IV 2-1 at the UiTM Stadium, Shah Alam in the Semi-Final second leg just now.

Through this result, Selangor U18 has then qualified for the next stage, League 1. The Red and Yellow U18 squad continue to maintain the top position in the League 1 competition with 11 accumulated points, qualifying the team for the Quarter Final stage of the Youth Cup 2023. According to the Head Coach of Selangor U18, Khushairi Wahab, he and the coaching staff will help the players to perform at their best in both the final stages of the 2023 Youth Cup.

"Alhamdulillah, the Selangor Youth squad managed to advance to the final stage for two consecutive times, continuing the achievements of the 2022 squad,"

"This is my first Youth squad as a Head Coach. The Selangor U18 squad this time is a combination of players from Selangor State Sports School (SSN), Regional Training Center (PLD) and Mokhtar Dahari Academy (AMD). We are trying to bring these players together to become a team, which for me has shown a lot of improvement since day one and certainly a lot that we need to improve on,"

"Going into this final stage, the target is none other than a victory. I will make sure that the players of the Selangor U18 squad show their best performance in both rounds of the Final to help the team reach that target," says Khushairi Wahab hopefully.

The Selangor U18 squad will go against Johor DT IV in the 2023 Youth Cup Finals on September 9 (Away) and 17 (Home).
