22 year-old midfielder, Zahril Azri Zabri is officially announced today as the latest player to sign for the Red Giants for the upcoming 2022 Malaysia Super League season.
Zahril is one of the key players of Harimau Muda under 19 in the AFF Youth Championship in 2017 finishing as runner-up. The following year, the same team managed to lift the championship trophy by beating Myanmar 4-3 in the final.
He continued to gain success in the same year, becoming one of the important young players to lead Felda United into the Super League after becoming the Premier League champions in 2018, which is at the beginning of his professional career.
The Penang-born lad continued displaying good performances, as he once again played a vital role but with Sarawak United this time, narrowly missing out on becoming Premier League champions again, making 17 appearances and contributing 3 assists for the runner up.
Zahril has high aspirations to strive for success for Selangor FC in 2022 with his imminent return to the club.
"I will work hard to perform for this club with the skills and experiences that I have gathered and I want to achieve success with Selangor FC such as winning a trophy," said the young player.
"Eventually, I dream of playing at a higher level with this team such as playing in the AFC Cup," he added.
"I hope everyone can wish me and the Selangor FC team success for the 2022 season," said Zahril before ending the interview.
Selangor FC congratulates Zahril Azri Zabri on his return to the Red Giants camp and hopes he can strengthen the Red Giants' midfield for the Malaysian League this season.
Good luck Zahril!
Zahril is the fourth player to be introduced to the main squad after Selangor FC previously announced Samuel Somerville, Yazan Al-Arab and Baha 'Abdelrahman.
